descendants of the early pioneers including
photos and sketches.
The stories illustrate the social and environmental
conditions of the first half of the 20th
century when timber, dairying and small crop
farming where the chief industries. It is
a way of life that has almost disappeared
as farms have, in many instances given way
to rural residential.
