Newspapers on Ancestry and Findmypast
Join Sue Reid at the Heritage Centre 1 pm, April 13th for a presentation on the best use of these resources.
Newspapers can enrich your family history research and provide a wealth of information for family historians, far beyond notices of births, deaths, and marriage. We can find details of our family members’ community and business involvement, advertisements for their enterprises and sale of their properties, and historical data about the time in which they lived.
The subscription databases Ancestry and Findmypast both have extensive collections of newspapers. You can access these collections at the Heritage Centre.
